We finally decided to update the leaderboard.  Things have shuffled around quite a bit.  We have a new overall leader; congratulations to Jakutz.  If you’re new or newish to the site, the Magma Rating is a calculation that reflects success in contests and is skewed towards recent accomplishments.  One note, there are sometimes ties (such as 4 & 5 on this list).  In those cases we sort alphabetically so there’s really no difference.

We thought it was time to release the list of the current top 20 MM users; everyone you see here has been actively engaged in MM competitions and has been successful enough to show they’ve got imagination, creativity, and a nimble mind.  The exact algorithm we’re using to determine your MM points is a closely guarded secret (to prevent gaming the system).  However, we can tell you that it incorporates all sorts of things: number of times making the finals, honorable mentions, winning contests, how many contests you’ve entered recently, entries made into merch, etc.

If you’re not on this list, maybe you need to take a few breathes, do some self reflection, and start planning your rise to the top.
