I predicted (to the other MM staff) that this would be as productive as the Alternative Hazard contest and I think I’ve won that bet.  We had almost 200 entries this week and a ton of good feedback on them.  We’ll definitely make quite a few merch selections from this one.  Thanks to everyone who entered the contest.

Jakutz has his slimmest lead yet, only 2.25 points. To be fair, two of the last 10 contests we’ve used have been ones he submitted (and was therefore ineligible to be a finalists or winner). Congrats to Fuzz on the concept & erumpeltin for debuting on the leaderboard.

Some of the movement here can be attributed to the merch selections for the holiday cards that we haven’t made public yet. We should be able to make an announcement tomorrow.

Just for the record, Al Gore never said he invented the internet (if you don’t believe me, check out what Snopes.com says). However, it’s a good example of the kinds of claims we’d like to see from you guys this week.

This week’s task is to give us your most outlandish claims. You can say you bowled a 301, you invented the comma, or that all horses are actually hornless unicorns. This is a merch contest, so we’ll be putting the best answers on clothes and stuff in our online store (which, by the way, still has hoodies and dark tees on sale).
